Description:
Manage and coordinate patient care and wound management in consults and recommendations.
Comply with established standards, defined timelines, and overall plan of care.
Document and manage billing processes.
Conduct discharge planning for supplies.
Identify, assess, and prevent complications related to wound care.
Provide continuing education to patients and staff.
Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration.
Document wounds using photo documentation as needed.
Treat a variety of wound types, including ostomies, draining wounds, pressure ulcers, vascular, arterial ulcers, and diabetic ulcerations.
Address skin conditions resulting from incontinence, surgical procedures, trauma, and altered continence.
Utilize wound vacs as per patient needs.
Float to multiple facilities as needed.
Participate in unit and departmental orientation with preceptor guidance.
