License: Current RN license in Illinois

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Must-Have: Telemetry trained

Description:
General job duties include assessing and medicating patients.
The nurse will recover patients from the cath lab and thoracic surgeries.
The unit utilizes EPIC Charting and Med Pyxis for medication management.
Internal training includes three shifts of orientation on the unit with a preceptor.
Candidates will also complete EPIC training and Healthstream Education modules.
Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required.
Floating to other units may occur, with procedures in place for competency.
The unit comprises 70 beds.
The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-5 during evening shifts and 1:5-6 during night shifts.
Dress code is scrubs.
Candidates must understand that the workplace maintains a drug-free policy and must produce a negative drug screen.
