Must-Have:
Must be able to titrate cardiac drips.
Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing contract (2 attempts maximum) within 48 hours of offer.
If traveler fails, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 months for specified regions.
There is also a pass/fail simulation lab on day one of orientation.
If traveler fails the simulation, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 months.
Floating is required between all telemetry and medical-surgical units.
Depending on skill level, nurses may float to an intensive care unit as well as all telemetry units and medical-surgical units.
Notification of campus and unit will be given 1.5 hours prior to shift start.
Floating to different units mid-shift can occur.
Travel between campuses may be required, and time taken to travel will vary based on traffic.
Staffing will include floating on weekends.

Description:
This position will require floating between various units within the facility.
Unit orientation will consist of two days on the floor.
Common diagnoses include post-cath lab procedures, post-vascular procedures, and general telemetry cases.
Nurses will be responsible for interpreting EKGs and monitoring patients on cardiac drips.
Patient ratios will vary based on the specific unit assignments and patient acuity levels.
Continued support from hospitalist or intensivist is available during day and night shifts.
Other critical services, including respiratory therapy and pharmacy, are available 24/7.
Weekend shifts will be scheduled on a rotating basis, and holiday work is also required.
Nurses must adhere to specific scrub color requirements and maintain certification standards.
This role may involve caring for patients requiring telemetry monitoring and general medical-surgical care.
