**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12-Hour Nights with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the past 6 months
**License:** Required
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS
**Must-Have:**
– Strong cardiac tele background with at least 2 years of experience
– Ability to decrease cardiac drips per physician’s orders and parameters
– Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
**Job Description:**
– Telemetry position requiring strong tele skills
– Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving an offer (2 maximum attempts)
– Participation in a pass/fail simulation lab on the first day of orientation
– Care for ED holds, primarily MS/Tele patients waiting for hospital bed placement
– Titrate drips, including medications such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
– Work alongside the ED charge nurse, with ED PCTs available
– Handle telemetry tasks as nurses must read and interpret strips, no monitor tech available in ED
– 12-hour shifts (7 a.m. – 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.), with the ability to self-schedule
– Required to work 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule and participate in holiday rotations
– No call or standby requirement
– Potential to float to med/surg/tele/overflow units at affiliated facilities as needed
– Dress code: Navy scrubs
– Complete specific orientation shifts focused on Med/Surg/Tele
– Provide support to ED patients, including taking vitals, starting IVs, and administering medication without having primary RN responsibilities for ED patient assignments
– Charting using the Cerner system
