Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Telemetry
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 19:00-07:00
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 1 year in Telemetry nursing
License: Current RN License (eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri)
Certifications:
– Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
– National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (can be obtained before start)
Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association

Must-Have:
– 1 year of inpatient Telemetry experience

Job Description:
– Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, ensuring professional accountability for care provision.
– Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
– Coordinate patient care with other departments, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of information.
– Perform direct patient care activities, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups.
– Monitor and coordinate patient care with ancillary departments to optimize care and comfort.
– Apply nursing practices within the scope of nursing preparation and according to the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and established guidelines.
– Work in an environment with significant physical demands including standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance.
– Adhere to safety and infection control standards due to high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
– Maintain professional behavior consistent with mission and service standards.
– Float on a rotational basis as required by the facility.
– Ensure personal presentation follows dress code, wearing appropriate scrubs.
– Adapt schedule and work frequency to meet patient care requirements.
