Description:
This position involves providing patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.
The unit consists of 32 beds with varying patient ratios.
Significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning of patients with assistance may be required.
High risk exposure to blood and body fluids is expected.
Physical demands include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs.
May be required to work differing schedules or shifts according to patient care requirements.
Careful consideration is given to patient assignments based on circumstances.
Position may involve rotating floating among different departments as needed.
This role emphasizes teamwork and collaborative care to enhance patient outcomes.
Professional development and adherence to established guidelines of nursing practice are key responsibilities.
Evaluates effectiveness of care and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
