Description:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with mission and values.
Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice.
Meets unit specific physical demands, which may include standing, walking, bending, and lifting patients with assistance.
May work differing schedules, shifts, and days of the week according to patient care requirements.
High risk exposure to blood and body fluids may be present.
Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping, pinching, kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally.
Utilizes the nursing process to provide care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
Coordinates patient care effectively and maintains confidentiality.
Performs responsibilities consistent with mission and values.
