Location:    Everett, WA
Pay Rate:   Up to $65/hour or $2365/week
Job Type:   Contract (13 Weeks)

Position Summary:
Telemetry RN
Start date: ASAP
Ratios: 1:5-7 (with dedicated CNA assigned per RN)
Years of Experience Required: 1 year
First-timers accepted: Yes
Weekends Required
Certs Required: BCLS
Call not required
Will this traveler need to float between like units? Yes, based on need
Locals accepted? No.
Pending License accepted: WA or Compact RN required.
RTO Restrictions: Please include all RTOs at the time of submittal.

Additional Information: Some of the most common diagnoses on the unit are: CHF, COPD, Sepsis, substance withdrawal, GIB, and A-fib. Travelers on the unit will do a few kinds of of titratable drips, including diltiazem and insulin. PRMCE does both on-the-unit and remote telemetry monitoring. Typically between 4-6 patients. The staffing matrix for RNs is the same on days/nights/ weekends/32-bed units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring Vital Signs: Observing heart rhythms, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and other vital stats using telemetry equipment.

  • Patient Assessment: Evaluating patients’ conditions and reporting changes in status to the healthcare team.

  • Administering Medications: Providing prescribed medications, including those related to cardiac conditions.

  • Interpreting Data: Analyzing telemetry readings and identifying potential abnormalities like arrhythmias.

  • Patient Education: Educating patients on cardiac health and monitoring techniques.

  • Collaboration: Working with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans.

  • Emergency Response: Responding to life-threatening situations, such as cardiac arrest, with quick intervention.

Required Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted certification/licensure as an RN in Washington State.

Certifications Required:
ACLS, BLS REQUIRED
