Description:

This position is in a 12-bed, 24-hour observation unit utilized by the heart/vascular service line.

The unit includes low acuity critical care patients awaiting placement in heart/vascular ICU or stepdown units.

It accommodates LVADs, 2-4 drips, arterial lines, and PA catheters.

There are no ventilators, CRRT, or Impella patients on this unit.

The unit serves as an observation area for patients who need extended monitoring after same-day procedures.

The setting is fast-paced with high patient turnover and a wide variety of diagnoses.

This position provides an excellent learning platform for cardiovascular procedures and diagnoses.

Working in this environment helps develop organizational skills, critical thinking, and improves assessment skills.

Scrubs are navy blue.

Travelers must live outside a 50-mile radius.
