ARMStaffing is looking for RN – Behavioral Health in Greenbrae, California

  • Shift: Flex
  • Unit Details: Registered Nurse, Psychiatric Adult

Job Description:
As a Behavioral Health RN, you’ll care for patients with psychiatric conditions, emotional disorders, and substance abuse challenges. You’ll assess mental health needs, implement individualized care plans, and support patient safety in a secure, therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and document patient mental health status and behaviors

  • Administer medications and monitor for side effects or reactions

  • Implement therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams

  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and coping strategies

  • Maintain a safe environment in accordance with facility policies and state regulations

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (Compact license preferred)

  • BLS certification required; CPI or PMAB certification preferred

  • Minimum 1 year of recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience

  • Strong communication, observation, and crisis management skills

  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in high-stress situations
