Job Description
Responsibilities:

Provide continuous monitoring and nursing care for high-acuity patients transitioning from ICU or requiring advanced medical attention.

Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per hospital protocol.

Manage non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP) and high-flow oxygen therapy.

Start peripheral IVs and monitor for complications.
-
Respond to telemetry changes and initiate appropriate clinical interventions.

Accurately document assessments, medications, and treatments in Cerner EMR.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for care planning.

Float to other units within scope if needed
Requirements:
-
Experience: 18+ months of recent PCU/stepdown experience

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS

Certifications Preferred: NIHSS, Conscious Sedation

License: Active IN State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)

First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Locals Accepted: No
-
Pending License: Not accepted

RTO Restrictions: Must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays

Floating: May float within scope as needed
