Must-Have:
Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Telemetry monitoring on the unit
Use of Rapid Response Teams
Post Cardiac Angiogram and post MI care
Pre/Post Cardiac Cath and Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery
Sheath removal and TR Band experience
Feeding tube care and management
Pre/Post Hemodialysis management
Accessing ports and arterial line management
Blood product administration
Central line care and management
Phlebotomy and peripheral line care
PICC line management and starting IVs
Heparin protocols management
Cardiac drips and vasoactive drips management
PCA and procedural sedation administration
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
CVA, craniotomy, and traumatic brain injury experience
Ortho trauma and total joint replacements experience
Skin grafts and surgical drains experience
Care of ventilated patients and chest tube management
Interpretation of ABGs
Nasal cannula and oxygen face masks experience
Non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy management
Isolation precautions and wound care skills
Cerner experience preferred
Teaching hospital experience preferred
Level I trauma experience preferred
Description:
This position is for a Stepdown/PCU Registered Nurse.
The shift is 3×12 nights, with the possibility to accommodate 4x12s if preferred.
Clinicians will work every other weekend.
There is no on-call requirement.
The clinician will float within the scope to meet facility needs.
This role requires expertise in various telemetry and cardiovascular skills.
Candidates must possess experience with neurological, orthopedics, and respiratory cases.
Furthermore, familiarity with professional topics such as isolation precautions and wound care is essential.
The facility is a Magnet certified acute care hospital.
Total staffed beds are 562.
Scrub color can be any solid color.
Charting will be done using Cerner.
