– EPIC experience
– Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment
– Experience with a patient ratio of 1:5 or better in Work History
Description:
The position requires a registered nurse with oncology experience.
Sickle cell experience and chemotherapy certification are strongly preferred.
No block scheduling is available.
There is a flexible option for 36 or 48 hours per week and contracts of 18 to 20 weeks are also available.
Staff must have documented experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Units to be considered.
Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but can go up to 1:5 to 6.
Float to all Stepdown and Advanced Care Units as needed.
Travelers will be the first to float at the employer’s discretion.
They will be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team in the unit to which they float, including high-risk respiratory units or similar.
Work every other weekend and holiday as required.
Cancellation of shifts may occur due to low census during the contract period.
The unit is a 35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit specializing in oncology and hematology patients.
It is a mixed acuity unit, treating both medical-surgical and advanced care patients.
Blood product administration and chemotherapy administration are part of typical duties for registered nurses on the unit.
Nurses will wear navy blue scrubs.
Requests for time off should be submitted with the application.
No additional requests for time off will be accommodated after the offer.
No more than 14 days of time off are allowed within the contract period.
An active RN license is acceptable from any state, and temporary licenses can be applied for as needed.
