Certifications: ACLS, BLS (NIH preferred)

Telemetry skills
IV start skills
Ability to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips
Experience with BiPAP and High Flow Oxygen
Description:
The PCU unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4.
Candidates with 18 months of experience are required.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Weekend shifts are mandatory.
Floating within scope to meet facility needs is expected.
Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
Special requirements include proficiency in managing telemetry, IV starts, and various cardiac and vasoactive medications.
Experience with Level I, II, III, or IV is required.
Familiarity with vents, charge nurse responsibilities, and conscious sedation is preferred.
This role supports a cardiac and medical progressive care unit, functioning as a step-down unit from intensive care.
Clinical responsibilities include monitoring heart caths, BiPAP, and administration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
Candidates must demonstrate crisis intervention skills in the PCU.
All travelers are accustomed to floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
The position is open to accommodating block schedules through discussion.
