– Experience in MedSurg or ICU with PCU Experience

Description:
This position involves providing care in a progressive care unit.
Travelers are expected to work every other weekend as per their contract.
Consecutive weekends might be required based on operational needs.
Charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Travelers must float to different levels of care, including MedSurg and ICU.
PCU assignments are typically 1:4, while MedSurg assignments can be 1:5-6.
This unit has a mixed model with a focus on cardio-pulmonary conditions.
Common patient populations include those with cardiac medical issues, valve replacement, COPD, CHF, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, and lung transplant patients.
Proper vaccination is required for all travelers, with exceptions for medical or religious reasons supported by documentation.
Floating is mandatory for all travelers within the facility or to nearby affiliates.
All travelers must complete necessary modules prior to starting, which are non-billable.
The orientation period is 12 hours and is also considered non-billable.
