Experience: 2 years in an 18-plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit
License: State Nursing License or Compact State Nursing License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Must-Have:
– Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
– Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
– BLS and ACLS must be completed through recognized organizations.

Description:
Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during each shift.
Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.
Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.
Coordinate patient care through collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
Initiate, utilize, and document appropriate protocols and standards of care.
Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and document according to policy.
Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout care.
Assume responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
Complete patient population, age-specific, procedure, and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
