Travel Nurse RN – PCU – $2,527 per week in Charleston, WV

Must-Have: IV start, vents, telemetry, level 1 trauma experience, conscious sedation.

Description:
The registered nurse will work in a trauma stepdown unit.
The unit provides care for multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients.
It includes a six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit.
The nurse will utilize a multidisciplinary team approach in providing nursing care.
Travelers will not be required to care for pediatric patients.
The unit will discuss the possibility of floor bed assignments during the interview.
Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 for floor patients and 1:3 for stepdown patients.
Candidates should have a background in PCU, IMC, trauma, or stepdown.
Orientation will be held every other Thursday.
The position requires working every other weekend.
Candidates must have a proven history of experience in critical care settings.
Flu vaccination is required unless a medical exemption is provided.
Covid vaccination is not required.
Modules will be completed prior to the start of the contract.
Modules are non-billable, with an average completion time of 2-4 hours.
Orientation consists of 16 hours and is non-billable.
