Description:
This position is for an RN in an Intermediate/Step Down Cardiac Unit.
The unit specializes in post-operative care for coronary bypass grafts, valve surgery, chest pain, and dysrhythmia management.
The nurse will care for patients pre/post pacemaker and AICD placement, pre/post catheterization, and those with congestive heart failure.
The unit consists of 16 beds with patient ratios of 4-5:1, with rare occasions of 6:1.
Equipment utilized includes Omnicell and electronic medical records using Cerner.
The ideal candidate should be competent with cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Primacor, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Heparin.
Floating to other PCU and Med Surg units may be required.
A team-oriented personality fit is essential for this role.
The dress code includes galaxy blue scrubs with no unacceptable attire specified.
