Description:
This position involves providing nursing care in a progressive care unit setting.
The nurse may also potentially care for medical/surgical patients.
Ratios are typically 1:5, with possible adjustments based on patient acuity.
Candidates must be willing to float to other progressive care and lower acuity settings within their skill set.
Weekend shifts are required for 2 out of 4 weeks, with variability based on unit needs.
Travelers may request time off, although certain restrictions apply.
Religious and medical exemptions for COVID vaccination are accepted.
The facility operates at over 100% capacity, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
Compliance with facility requirements regarding emergency preparedness is necessary.
Modules related to orientation and annual training will be conducted.
Candidates must have personal transportation as public transit may not be available.
This is a Level I Trauma and Teaching Hospital.
