Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit.
This unit functions as an admission area for patients.
It handles the transition of patients from the emergency unit to inpatient care.
There is a high volume of patient turnover, with frequent admissions and transfers.
The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 1:4-5.
The unit has both designated beds and additional hall beds available for patient overflow.
Strong skills in rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management are essential.
The facility requires nurses to be able to float to various units as necessary.
An orientation period of 8 hours will be provided.
All safety and compliance standards must be adhered to.
