Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Step Down, Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU), Cardiac Progressive Care (CPCU)

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Nights 7 PM – 7 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Experience: Minimum 2 years

License: Registered Nurse

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Must-Have: 1 year of PCU or ICU experience

Job Description:

– Provide comprehensive care for patients within the Progressive Care Unit, catering to medical, surgical, and cardiac service lines.
– Monitor and manage arterial lines, central venous pressure, and administer vasoactive drips.
– Handle surgical tubes and drains with precision and care.
– Support respiratory needs with CPAP, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilation via endotracheal tube or tracheostomy.
– Maintain an expected 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio based on patient acuity.
– Adapt to floating between similar units as required.
– Ensure coverage for every other weekend.
– Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for documentation.
– Holiday coverage may be required.
