Description:
This position involves caring for patients with cardiovascular diagnoses.
Responsibilities include close monitoring of patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, post-myocardial infarction, and cardiac arrhythmias.
Nurses will manage patients post-cath lab procedures and prior to LVAD placements or heart/lung transplants.
The role may require floating to different levels of care, including Med-Surg, Progressive Care, and ICU.
Charge nurse responsibilities may be required pending operational needs.
Nurses must be open to working weekends, with a requirement to work 50% of weekends during their contract.
All travelers are expected to float as necessary and assist in educational opportunities within the unit.
Call-in procedures will apply according to the contracted hours.
Floating between hospitals or to affiliate facilities may also be required.
Nurses will have a supportive environment with resources provided as needed while performing their duties.
Approval may be needed for absence during holidays, and specific certifications are required based on the unit’s needs.
All candidates should have completed necessary training and orientation prior to starting their assignment.
