Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum 18 months required, depending on the unit

License: In-state license required; must have license in hand for start dates 2-4 weeks out, or have started the licensing process for start dates 4+ weeks out

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required

Must-Have: Solid Neuro experience

Job Description:
– Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
– Mixed Acuity Unit managing medical patients with some progressive care unit level patients
– Responsible for oncology and stroke patients
– Manage MS patients at a 1:5-6 ratio and PCU patients at a 1:3-4 ratio
– Administer medications such as cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin drips
– Care for unstable strokes and patients on BiPap
– Work in a dynamic mixed acuity unit covering oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary care
– Required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliated hospitals
– Completion of a 12-hour orientation in a non-billable capacity required
