Description:
This unit specializes in the care and management of hospitalist medicine patients, including stroke and neurology patients.
The unit is a Joint Commission certified primary stroke center.
Currently, the nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, with a goal of 1:4.
All travel nurses are expected to float as needed based on patient acuity.
Travel nurses must complete modules, which are non-billable if done within the first 24 hours of onboarding.
The facility provides 5.5 hours for orientation modules and 2 hours for Epic training for inpatient RNs.
Modules may be completed before or during orientation and are recorded by the facility for payment processing.
Orientation comprises 24 hours and is non-billable.
Compliance documentation is required by Wednesday prior to the Monday start.
Candidates living within 100 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted for this position.
Return travelers must have at least one year away before returning.
