Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Surgical Progressive Care Unit.
This role involves working 3×12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
The current nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, with a goal of achieving 1:4.
All travelers are expected to float as needed within the unit’s acuity.
All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application.
Travelers must work two out of three major winter holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
Travelers should ensure that their requests for time off do not cover more than one of these holidays.
Medical or religious exemptions are required for the COVID-19 vaccine and flu vaccine.
Modules are non-billable if completed within the first 24 hours of new hire orientation.
The facility allows for 5.5 hours of orientation modules and 2 hours for Epic training for inpatient registered nurses.
Modules may be completed before the start date or during orientation.
Hours may vary based on specialty, and completion is recorded by facility report.
Payment for modules occurs bi-weekly upon receipt of approved hours from the facility.
Orientation consists of 24 hours of non-billable time.
