Experience: Minimum 2 years of high acuity progressive care experience preferred
License: Valid state license required
Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Must-Have:
High acuity progressive care patient experience is required.
Interpretation of dysrhythmias is a necessary skill.
Ability to manage cardiac drips, including PCA pumps and other critical care equipment.
Experience with infection prevention protocols is mandatory.

Description:
The role involves working in a high acuity progressive care environment.
The unit primarily cares for patients with solid tumors, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology.
Pediatric patients are rarely admitted and usually managed by permanent staff.
There is a strong focus on infection prevention protocols.
The facility emphasizes patient safety, including fall prevention measures.
Candidates must be flexible with scheduling; no fixed schedule is guaranteed.
The facility may require working every weekend, with a maximum of 7 consecutive days off.
Orientation includes one week of standard training followed by on-unit orientation with a preceptor.
Candidates will float between units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed.
Ability to manage various medical procedures and equipment is critical, such as blood product administration and central line management.
