Description:
This position involves caring for patients with varying diagnoses who are awaiting bed placement.
The nurse will assume the care of patients boarding in the ED.
The schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts.
Floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity is required.
There is a requirement to work every other weekend.
No on-call duty is required for this role.
Candidates must have a DC RN license in hand prior to the start date.
Modules need to be completed prior to starting and possibly during orientation.
Orientation will consist of 28 hours.
It is essential to have references from two supervisory individuals.
All travelers are required to have a flu vaccination without exemptions.
RTO during a contract must not exceed 8 days, and scheduled so that full hours per week can be maintained.
Three or more absences in a 13-week contract will result in termination of the contract.
