Description:
This position is for a registered nurse in the Progressive Care Unit.
The unit specializes in the care of postoperative cardiothoracic patients and vascular surgery patients.
A focus on the care of cardiothoracic patients is essential.
Travelers are expected to float within their acuity as needed.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5, with a goal of 1:4.
Orientation consists of 24 hours of training.
Modules are available and can be completed during orientation or pre-start.
Compliance documents must be submitted by the specified deadline.
Candidates residing within a certain distance from the facility are not accepted for this position.
Previous employees must meet a separation period requirement before applying for traveler positions again.
There are specific policies regarding returning travelers and work assignment durations.
All travelers must comply with vaccination requirements.
