Description:

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Progressive Care Unit.

The unit specializes in the care of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients, with an emphasis on post-operative care.

The nurse to patient ratio in this unit is 1:5, with a goal of 1:4.

Travelers must be prepared to work two out of three major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

Any requests for time off during these holidays should not cover more than one holiday.

Orientation will consist of 24 hours, with both non-billable and billable modules available for completion.

Modules may be completed prior to the start date or during orientation, with hours varying based on specialty.

Compliance documents must be submitted prior to the start date.

Travelers must work at least one holiday per season, which includes the two winter holidays mentioned previously.

Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility will not be considered.

There is a separation policy in place regarding reapplying for traveler positions after a previous assignment.

Previous employees must be separated for a minimum of one year before returning to work as a traveler.
