Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Shift: Night
Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 – 07:15)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required. Traveler Experience is required unless traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.
License: Active nursing license required.
Certifications: BLS & ACLS, NIHSS.

Must-Have:
– Cardiac Telemetry experience
– PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
– Sheath Removal skills
– Interpretation of dysrhythmias skills
– Management of dysrhythmias skills
– Post MI experience
– Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization experience
– Management of Cardiac drips (no titration and titration)
– Chest tube management (Emerson/Pleuravac)
– External CPAP/BIPAP experience
– Non-invasive airway management

Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed and is not permitted to be worked out onsite.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
Ratios vary per acuity.
Ratios are 1:4 for surgical step down and 1:5-6 for lower acuity.
Candidates must work 36 hours only.
Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster.
The unit specializes in various cardiac diagnoses and special procedures that include CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, and others.
Team members will be expected to manage arterial lines, wound care, and charge experience is preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable floating within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby as needed.
All candidates will undergo EKG testing prior to the start.
Orientation is required and will be conducted over 8 hours.
The dress code for the position is navy scrubs.
Candidates must have NIHSS certification and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
