Experience:
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
1 year in specialty experience required

License:
WV or Compact RN License required – pending license acceptable

Certifications:
BLS, ACLS certifications required
TNCC preferred
Fit Test and CPI required

Must-Have:
Ideal candidates should have a background in PCU, IMC, Trauma, or SDU.
First-time travelers accepted if experienced in ICU or Trauma.
Candidates may be floated within scope to meet facility needs.

Description:
Provide nursing care to multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients.
Work in a six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit that provides an intermediate level of care.
Ratios are Floor RN: 1:5 and SDU: 1:3.
Orientation held every other week on Thursday.
Every other weekend is required.
Travelers would not be required to see pediatric patients.
It is possible that travelers may be utilized for floor beds only.
All personnel are required to take the flu vaccine unless there is documented medical proof of an allergy.
Covid vaccine is not required.
Candidates must include a profile detailing work history and specialty-specific skills.
Minimum of two manager or charge references within the past two years is needed.
Certifications must be via a recognized certification organization.
Any previous probationary actions on the license will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Current staff members of the health System will not be eligible for travel contracts.
Full documentation must be submitted by noon Monday prior to orientation.
Modules are non-billable and must be completed prior to start.
Modules vary by specialty and will result in a certificate of completion.
Orientation consists of 16 hours, which is non-billable.
