Description:
The unit has 30 beds, with 22 in Acute Care and 8 in Neuro Stepdown.
Patient Ratios are 6:1 in Acute Care and 4:1 in Neuro Stepdown.
The unit is supported by 1 RN Charge, 1-2 Techs, and a unit secretary.
Equipment includes vital sign machines, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, and various drips on the Acute Care side.
Neuro Stepdown equipment includes Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, and titrating cardiac drips.
Documentation is managed using Meditech systems.
Weekend shifts are required, and experienced nurses can float after orientation.
Patient experience practices include bedside shift reports, personal connections, and daily huddles.
The dress code includes black, any shade of blue or grey, and any color scrubs on Fridays.
Awards and recognition include ICARE recognition, shout-out boards, and employee of the month.
