Job Description

Travel Stepdown RN is needed for 13 weeks to start ASAP in a facility in West Virginia. Shifts consist of 7-7. 5 South – Multidisciplinary team approach in providing nursing care to multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients. A six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit, 25 bed med/surg tele trauma, 6 bed trauma stepdown provides an intermediate level of care. Breakdown: 6 bed pediatric trauma, 25 bed med/surg tele trauma, 6 bed trauma stepdown. Patient age groups: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics. TBI’s. Chest tubes, Wound vac’s. Stepdown critical drips: amiodarone, cardizem, precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, nitro. Epidurals for multiple rib fx’s, Arterial lines. Fit testing required. Accepts first time travelers. Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, IV Start, Telemetry, 1-year PCU required. Preferred: Vents, Conscious Sedation, Level I Trauma. Previous ortho/trauma experience preferred.
