Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required; will consider 1 year if experience is from a Level 1 trauma facility. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: – Scrub experience for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. – Circulate experience required. – Experience in cardiac and thoracic cases primarily. – Experience in vascular procedures, including open and endovascular. – Experience in transplant procedures (liver, kidney, pancreas). – Experience with pancreatic procedures (Whipples). Description: Registered Nurse with experience in the operating room needed. Scrub and circulate experience for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures is required. Shift consists of three 12-hour days, specifically from 10:30 to 23:00. No call or weekends required. There may be holiday coverage required. Candidates should have two years of experience; one year will be considered if from a Level 1 trauma facility. First-time travelers are accepted only with more than two years of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility. Floating within service lines may be required. Orientation consists of 40 hours of training. A BSN is preferred for this position. No more than seven days of requested time off is allowed during the contract period. The candidate must be able to perform required duties while floating within the hospital to meet facility needs. Candidates will be expected to comply with any required health guidelines, including flu vaccination with medical or religious exemptions only. References are preferred at the time of submittal. All candidates must have experience with specific charting systems, particularly EPIC. Please ensure all required paperwork and certifications are completed prior to starting.
