Description:
The RN Clinical Periop Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team.
Ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care.
Practice in a clinical environment that is supported through a Shared Governance Model.
RN competencies are derived from models and supported by Core Competencies.
It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed and knowledgeable.
Uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act.
Implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards.
Upholds the voice of the patient, system policies, and procedures while supporting service excellence goals.
Performs the Nursing Process using evidence-based practice.
Provides patient-centered care that adapts service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity.
Partners with the patient and significant others using appropriate methods.
Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care.
Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration.
