Description:
12-hour day/night rotation shifts are required.
Experience with complex medical oncology populations is necessary.
A high level of skill in identifying rapidly changing patient conditions and multitasking in critical situations is essential.
The position requires expertise in chemotherapy administration and monitoring for side effects.
Experience in high-level respiratory care, including but not limited to managing tracheostomies, chest tubes, Airvo, CPAP/BiPAP, is required.
Experience with end-of-life care and hospice is preferred.
The unit serves a 30-bed medical oncology section, primarily with solid tumor patients, and includes overflow of bone marrow transplant and surgical oncology patients.
In-house telemetry monitoring with central pulse oximetry monitoring is provided.
The patient ratio ranges from 1:5-6, depending on the shift.
Experienced candidates in infusion of complex chemotherapy and management of oncological side effects are preferred.
