Job Title: RN Oncology
Location: Potsdam, NY 13676 (This facililty does not accept local nurse within 50 miles)
Pay Rate: Up to $2426/week

Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 06/09/2025

Position Summary: 

  • Monday – Friday. No weekend. No float.
  • Oncology Infusion experience. Able to work independently in a fast pace environment, flexible, strong communication skills, adaptable and willingness to work with other, dependable, and punctual.
  • 40 visits a day, 9 beds.
  • Patient age group: Adults, Geriatric
  • Medication System: Pyxis
  • Documentation System: Epic
  • Patient Diagnoses: Oncology
  • Special Procedures / Unit Details: Infusion and Chemo Therapy
  • Locals accepted (Y/N): No, must be >50 miles

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and developing a personalized plan of care for each patient
  • Administering medications and treatments as directed by the doctor, medical oncologist, and other health care professionals
  • Observing, recording, and reporting changes in your patient’s condition to doctors and other health care providers
  • Providing patients with information about their disease, treatment plan, medications, home care needs, follow-up appointments, and referrals to community resources
  • Working with patients’ families to ensure they are educated about their loved one’s disease and treatment
  • Providing emotional support for patients, families, and caregivers
  • Encouraging patients to express concerns or feelings related to their cancer diagnosis without fear of judgement

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 year of RN Oncology Infusion experience
  • ACLS, BLS and ONS/ONCC Certification
  • NY State RN License
