Description:
The Inpatient Oncology unit is a 28-bed adult acute care hematology/oncology unit as well as a 15-bed intermediate care Stem Cell Transplant Unit.
The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4.
This position offers either 36 or 48 hours per week.
Every other weekend and every other holiday are required.
Additional hours may be approved, with a maximum of 40 hours for time off during the contract.
Orientation includes 16 hours of training.
Candidates must adhere to the float policy.
Pending licenses are acceptable, but the license must be obtained before the designated date.
References are required.
Candidates will be asked to float within their scope of practice.
A copy of the required certifications must be included with submissions.
Background information must be disclosed if applicable.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
Verification of credentials is required for submission.
Modules are non-billable and are completed during orientation, with a maximum of 16 hours allocated.
Any time spent on modules beyond 16 hours is billable.
Modules vary by specialty and are recorded accordingly.
