Description:
This role involves working in a Med/Surg unit focused on women’s health and oncology.
You need to have experience with central lines, ports, and drains.
Scrub colors should be black or navy.
You will manage O2 protocols and non-invasive airway management.
Peripheral line care and management will be part of your duties.
Following isolation precautions and PPE guidelines is essential.
You must be proficient in computerized documentation.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:6-8.
You will need to know how to activate rapid response teams.
Although there is a very small pediatric population, pediatric experience is not required.
Travelers may be expected to float to similar units based on facility needs.
Orientation includes modules that are billable and typically require 4-6 hours for RNs.
