Certifications: BLS, NRP
Must-Have:
– Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
– Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
– Experience with mechanical ventilation management
– Level 3 & 4 experience

Description:
The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse.
The nurse provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research.
Care is given to a designated group of patients and significant others.
The nurse delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of Relationship Centered Care.
This is done through the application of the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.
Essential duties include assessing and evaluating patient care needs.
Critical thinking skills are applied in patient care management.
Relevant assessment and intervention skills are integrated into the nursing care delivery.
Collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team is essential in the development and implementation of the plan of care.
All aspects of patient care are prioritized, including teaching and planning after hospital care.
Patients and caregivers are educated about their plan of care and health promotion.
Effective and professional communication occurs with patients, family, and all members of the team.
Patient experience is enhanced by facilitating actions such as admission welcome and bedside shift report.
The nurse considers patient values, preferences, and cultural diversity in care.
Establishment and maintenance of a therapeutic relationship with patients and families are critical.
Evidence-based practices are used to enhance patients’ perceptions of care.
Service recovery is initiated for patients and family members with concerns.
Caring, respect, compassion, empathy, and active listening are demonstrated in all interactions.
Quality and safety are prioritized in patient-centered care.
The nurse practices safe and efficient care, addressing barriers and opportunities for improvement.
Clinical skills and knowledge are maintained to ensure quality and safety.
