Experience: Minimum 3 years in Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Level 1 Trauma Experience
License: Must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted the fingerprint application package for license
Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS

Must-Have: Candidates must have NIHSS certification
Must be flexible with weekend requirements.
Travelers must be able to work 50% of weekends during their contract.
Must be willing to precept and/or be assigned students to shadow while on assignment.

Description:
This is a Neuro Critical Care position.
The unit cares for medical, surgical, and trauma ICU patients.
The traveler may be expected to float to different levels of care with resources provided.
Charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Certification requirements include ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS.
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, ICP, and IV starts are essential skills.
Call-ins for contracted shifts may lead to make-up shift obligations.
Travelers must be willing to work additional shifts as needed during the contract.
Floating is mandatory within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
