Description:
This position is auto-offer.
Flu vaccination is required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1.
Declinations/exceptions are not accepted.
The facility has a department with a variety of patient care activities.
The unit consists of 32 beds.
The patient ratios vary, with days typically being 1:5-1:6 and nights 1:6-1:7.
Ratios are not guaranteed and depend on circumstances.
Equipment used includes telemetry systems, lift equipment, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps.
EMR system utilized is Epic.
The role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care.
Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
The RN will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with various departments to ensure optimal care and comfort.
Professional accountability for patient care provision is required.
The RN must evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers.
Coordination of patient care with other departments is essential.
Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of information is critical.
Duties must be performed in a manner consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice.
Physical demands involve standing and walking for most of the shift.
Significant bending, stooping, and lifting patients with assistance may be required.
Flexibility in schedules, shifts, and workdays is necessary based on patient care requirements.
There is potential high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
Physical activities include pushing, pulling, gripping, pinching, kneeling, and crouching.
The RN will provide care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and with medical comorbidities.
