Description:
This position involves providing direct patient care activities for all age groups.
Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities to optimize patient comfort.
Functions within the scope of nursing preparation, adhering to established nursing practice guidelines.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Utilizes the nursing process to provide care for patients post trauma and surgical interventions.
Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
The work environment requires standing and walking for extended periods.
Physical demands include bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance.
May be required to work varying schedules according to patient care requirements.
High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids is present.
Physical tasks include pushing, pulling, gripping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally.
