Description:
This position requires providing direct patient care activities for all age groups.
You will engage in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments is essential to optimize patient care and comfort.
You must utilize the nursing process to ensure effective patient care delivery.
Maintaining professional accountability for the provision of patient care is crucial.
Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
Coordination of patient care with other departments is necessary.
Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information is a priority.
You will perform duties in alignment with established guidelines of nursing practice.
The role includes standing and walking for most of the shift.
Meeting unit-specific physical demands is required.
You will need to perform significant bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance.
Work schedule may vary based on patient care requirements.
High risk exposure to blood and body fluids must be acknowledged.
Physical demands include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs., and pinching up to 15 lbs.
This position may involve kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally.
Your responsibilities include caring for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and those with medical comorbidities.
You will evaluate and adjust care strategies as necessary in accordance with established protocols.
