License: Current nursing license required.
Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Certification required.

Must-Have: Experience with ICP monitoring, ventilator management, telemetry, and lumbar drains.

Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in a cancel and DNR.
No block scheduling is permitted.
Staffing ratios are typically 2:1, occasionally 3:1.
The unit will accept 13-week contracts.
Travelers must float to other ICUs and intermediate units as needed.
Each traveler is required to work every other weekend.
Patients are primarily from the neuroscience intensive care unit.
Ideal candidates will have significant experience with stroke management, ICP management, seizure management, and critical care patient management, including titrating medications and managing invasive equipment.
Special equipment used includes EVD management, ventilator management, and PCAs.
Common documentation and communication systems include Pyxis and EPIC.
Candidates must be comfortable floating within the hospital based on skill sets and census.
Travel pairs may be allowed but must work on different units.
References from recent supervisors are preferred.
Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row or exceed 60 hours in a week.
Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, with varying hours based on specialty.
