Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Floor Nurse Job Duration: Full-Time Shift: All Shifts Available Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Current MA RN license Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred Must-Have: – Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred – Graduate of an accredited nursing program – Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Job Description: – Provide nursing and health care services to clinicians and patients. – Demonstrate strong nursing knowledge, sound judgment, and assertive decision-making. – Perform nursing visits, assessments, evaluations, and patient education. – Be able to don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). – Safely administer and accurately document immunizations and medications. – Review lab results and determine next steps for care. – Triage walk-in patients and patients over the phone. – Provide patient education on topics such as medication, asthma, and healthy eating. – Provide wound care treatment. – Conduct mental exams using SLUMS, RUDAS, and MOCA. – Perform purified protein derivative (PPD) testing. – May perform intravenous therapy (IV) insertion after training and validation if working in specific clinics. – Conduct functional assessments and vision screenings. – Be responsible for the quality control of vaccine fridges, crash carts, and oxygen machines. – Oversee the ordering and inventory of medication and vaccines. – Follow OSHA standards, identify potential safety hazards, and take action to remedy these situations.
