– Proficiency in telemetry
– Skill in managing complex wounds
– Experience with central line care and maintenance as well as blood draws
Description:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse needed for an oncology unit.
The unit consists of 24 beds dedicated to hematology, oncology, and gynecologic oncology, as well as medical surgical patients.
There are 9 beds for hematology and cellular therapy.
Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and managing side effects for patients receiving radiation therapy and radioisotopes.
The most common diagnoses include lymphoma, leukemia, and ovarian cancers.
Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment and possess strong nursing skills specific to oncology and medical surgical care.
