Job Description

Unit: Inpatient Surgery (Med/Surg)
Unit Size: 46 beds
Layout: The unit is large with a nurses’ station located at both the front and back, facilitating communication and oversight across the two sides of the unit. Patient Demographics  Age & Gender: Varies widely; no specific demographic profile.  Common Conditions: o General post-operative patients o Frequent pain management needs o Chest tubes o NG tubes o Heparin drips o Dressing changes o JP drains o Traction Staffing and Support.

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: No more than 6:1, ensuring adequate attention to patient needs. 

Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension
