Must-Have:
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
Experience with Rapid Response Teams.
Blood product administration skills.
Central and peripheral line care/management.
Experience with surgical drains and non-invasive airway management.
Knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care.
Description:
This position consists of caring for patients who have had or plan to have surgery or who are involved in trauma.
Patient diagnoses include cellulitis, appendicitis, cholecystitis, diverticulitis, and various trauma cases.
The nurse will be responsible for managing a wide range of surgical procedures such as cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and kidney stone removal.
Ratios will be 1 nurse to 6 patients for surgical/medicine inpatient care.
Expect to work weekends every other weekend.
Orientation includes two days of hospital orientation and 24 hours of floor training.
Must pass an EKG test prior to starting in this role.
Candidates may float to other units as needed based on skill sets and census.
COVID-19 vaccination is not required, but flu vaccination is mandatory with exemptions.
