– Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
– General medical level of care patient ratio is 4-5:1 during the day and 5-6:1 during the night
– Ability to collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary care team members
Description:
The Registered Nurse protects, promotes, and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of RN licensure.
The RN collaborates with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum.
The RN assesses and supports physical symptoms and provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
The RN mentors assigned team members and promotes best practices while maintaining a professional disposition at all times.
The RN assumes responsibility for providing direct patient care and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record as required.
Equipment utilized includes EPIC, Microsoft applications, and Pyxis medication system.
The RN will float to other departments as needed.
Travel RNs receive initial onboarding in collaboration with the department’s Clinical Educator.
RNs typically have one 12-hour shift for orientation on the floor with a unit preceptor before working independently with an assigned group of patients.
The unit has an 18-bed capacity.
The dress code allows any color scrubs, except pediatric scrubs.
The schedule requires working every third weekend and holiday rotation.
